Life begins at the end of your comfort zone
Travel and Life
Experiences that Inspire
My passion lies in discovering new cultures, languages, and the stories that make each destination unique. So, I am creating The Ordinary Escapist to reflect on my personal experiences and to share my travel stories and tips to others.
I studied languages at university, it was a natural choice for me. I’ve always been captivated by languages, and with most universities in the UK offering study or work abroad programmes as part of the curriculum, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to pursue a degree without missing out on the enriching experiences of a gap year. I knew that taking a break from studying might derail my academic journey, so this structured approach allowed me to continue learning while exploring the world.
Moving to study in Alicante at the age of 19 was transformative; it broadened my perspective beyond life in the UK. Since then, I have spent pretty much the past decade continuously seeking ways to balance exploration with gaining valuable work experience. Embracing this slightly unconventional lifestyle, I aim to inspire and support others who are curious about living differently through my words and experiences.
